Description
The 2019 Dierberg is a sophisticated, elegant Pinot that delights and entices. This complex wine reveals itself over time in the glass, starting with a subtle, elegant nose that entices with a blend of ripe blackberry, cassis, vanilla and moist earth tones. As it warms in the glass, one discerns notes of baking spice and wood, followed by a slight floral waft as well. On the palate, this wine delights with black cherry overtones, along with blackberry jam and cranberry notes. Backend flavors include lightly smoked oak, dark chocolate, rich soil, baking spice, tarragon, and honey. The acidity balance lends this to being very soft on the palate resulting in a smooth, sexy wine. Drink: Now – 2029
